Thousands of hours of community work have transformed an empty house into a beautifully and authentically furnished country house. The work involved students from Budapest and women from a Slovak village. The 19th-century three-storey house, built with a mud-brick wall and a porch roof, and the chamber and stable under the same roof, were declared a monument in 2004. In 2014, the World Commission for Monuments and Sites of UNESCO – ICOMOS – awarded the Exemplary Monument Care Award to the caretakers of the country house.
